Welcome to M*A*S*H!

You have found the future web site of the Military Atheists and Secular Humanists’ national organization. We have recently started a Meetup group for Fayetteville and Fort Bragg Atheists and Secular Humanists called M*A*S*H. The purpose of the group is to help provide support for local non-believers and to help organize local activism. Most of this activity revolves around the actions of SGT Justin Griffith of Fort Bragg. In response to the overtly Evengelical “Rock the Fort” event held on Fort Bragg, Justin was motivated to organize a secular event Called “Rock Beyond Belief” which is poised to be a monumental success.

More recently Justin brought much needed attention to an unconstitutional section of the Army’s Soldier Fitness Tracker which in which the test grades your fitness by the amount of time you pray and how you view the world spiritually.

  1. Jim (Ben Hurt) Stacey says:

Justin, you’re a godsend! You know what I mean. Keep up the great work.

  2. Willy says:

If you are a smart person, realize that there is a 50/50 chance that you right and there is no God. You either believe in Jesus or you don’t. I believe that Jesus died for me, so when I die, if I’m wrong and there is no god, no harm done, I will just die. Now, if you’re wrong and there is a god, when you die, you will go to hell. Hell is forever. Think about it. Do research… There is proof that Jesus existed. Why take a chance with your life? Justin, I will pray for you and your daugher.

  3. Jason Torpy says:

Actually, the commandment is “have no other gods before me” so the smart money says worship no gods at all, and that way you put none before any other.
And the odds aren’t 50/50 since there are thousands of gods to choose from, so it’s more like .001%/.001%.001%/.001%.001%/.001%.001%/.001%/etc…
And this isn’t a coin flip. The evidence of a historical Jesus figure is at least questionable. Evidence that this historical figure was also a god is very questionable.
While MAAF members have their disagreements with religion, the point is for us to have our thing and for the religious to have their thing and for everyone to be better soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines in the end, whatever their beliefs. No need to drop by and start a philosophical debate. You’ve got plenty of religious sites and groups for that.
